Abushariaa Ahmed - Sudan

Abushariaa Ahmed was born in 1966 in Omdurman, Sudan. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Fine & Applied Arts at Sudan University (1986-1990). He is member of the Sudanese Artists Association, the Drawing Society and the South African Society of Artists.

Abushariaa Ahmed left Sudan in the mid-90s and settled for some years in Nairobi (Paa ya Paa Arts Centre), and later lived for a short period in Cologne, Germany.
Since 2000 Abushariaa lives and works in Kampala, Uganda. Abushariaa has exhibited extensively in East Africa and in countries such as Canada, Germany, Denmark, Monaco and the UK.
