Patrick Kayako

Patrick Kayako was born in 1971 in South Nyanza, Kenya.
Patrick was a well-known artist in the Kenyan art scene during the 1990s and mid 2000s and belonged to a group of artists represented and promoted by Gallery Watatu in Nairobi. He developed his own semi-abstract forms with subdued, earthy, almost muted colours.
After a short artistic career he disappeared from the art scene in the mid 2000s and dedicated himself to other professional activities.
